O'Clock Project
10:31
This piece began during a quiet moment on my way to the studio and became something I worked on for more than a year and a half.
When my husband and I were getting married at San Francisco City Hall, a photographer took a picture of the clock on the wall while we were signing the papers. It read 10:31.
For most people, it’s just a clock.
For me, it’s our wedding photo.
I began translating that image into metal.
I carved it in wax, learned digital sculpting, explored 3D printing, and tested different approaches. In the end, I returned to hand fabrication, molding, casting, and shaping the piece slowly.
The clock hands had their own journey, through dozens of drawings, variations, and ideas. In the end, I chose the simplest version.
It may look simple, but simplicity isn’t always the starting point. Sometimes it’s where you arrive after trying everything else.
This clock was created as a personal project, shaped by time, process, and meaning.
Each piece is made to hold a moment that matters, a beginning, a meeting, a birth, or a minute you never forgot.
If you’re interested in creating a clock pendant that holds your time, I invite you to begin an inquiry.
